HEALTHY DEVELOPMENT & JOYFUL CONNECTION
BeWell Baby supports young children and families through community-oriented classes and events. We promote play-based approaches to brain development and social, emotional and physical wellbeing.

Powerful evidence exists for investing in our children and families during their earliest years (ages 0-3). Developmental learning is now widely recognized as an enabler of kindergarten readiness- but in fact, it can support so much more. Children 0-3 with access to high quality early learning are more likely to go on to higher education, to earn higher incomes, experience healthier relationships, and have better physical and mental health. That means what happens early shapes lifetime trajectories and every child can benefit from targeted learning experiences.

BeWell Baby is a registered 501c(3) non-profit in Texas and partners with community organizations to provide our programs at low and no cost to participating families.

Community Connections
Designed for the whole family

Unlike classes that are designed mostly for parents and kiddos "tag along" or classes designed mostly for children that parents "support", our classes treat both as equally important parts of the community. That means time to freely play and socialize is built in at the beginning and the end of the class and promoting adult friendships and connections are one of our primary goals.
Quality Toys & Activities
Materials that make sense
Choosing toys to invest in and knowing how to select materials that are developmentally appropriate and grow with the child is another area of focus. Many families report that getting to experiment with different toys and materials each week is one of their favorite parts and biggest takeaways from the program!
Inner Circle Welcome
Grandparents, Siblings, Caregivers & More
Our classes welcome up to two adults and one sibling along with each enrolled child. The more, the merrier! This allows grandparents, nannies, aunts and uncles, big sisters and brothers and more to come and join the fun.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Dr. Lora Delgado
Learning & Development Expert
Dr. Delgado has taught across the lifespan—working with babies, elementary-aged students, young adults and professionals of all ages for over eighteen years. Her specialty is studying the learning that occurs through our experiences at home, in the community, and at work, and within social settings like on teams, in museums and among friends. Making learning more relational, exciting, inclusive and playful is her passion.
Dr. Delgado’s interest in wellbeing began as a college peer health educator, and continued throughout her own personal and professional life. A certified YogaEd instructor for children, Lora previously taught health, fitness, music & movement classes full-time, and later supported enrichment and specials teachers as a department chair and instructional mentor and coach.
After the birth of her son in 2021, Lora saw a need for programs focused on early learning and family wellbeing that went beyond the "baby as a prop" or "parent as a passive participant" model. From there, BeWell Baby was born!
